Improving
your Environmental and Business Performance - Sustainable Development
Sustainable
development is defined as delivering benefits that meet the needs of the present
generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their
needs (United Nations Conference for Environment and Development – UNCED).
At
Filtrec, sustainable development is about how we run our business, the right
way, to positively and responsibly meet the market’s needs. Sustainable
development is about achieving our target performance in various dimensions:
economic, social and environmental.

However,
Filtrec also sees that environmental management is an opportunity to
reduce waste, lower costs, increase efficiency and enhance corporate reputation.
In
December 2006 Filtrec has achieved its ISO 14001:2004 Certification.
